I Heart Choquette

I have lived in Paris and have experienced the fruits of some of the best pastry chefs in France so when I decided to visit Choquette the new french patisserie in New Farm I was surprised when the semblance was uncanny. It was like taking a step back in time to my corner patisserie on rue de rivoli.

Particular mention should be made to the Macaroons, a delicate, egg shell-like crust that yields to a moist and airy interior. I must admit that since my return I never imagined I would have the pleasure of reuniting my taste buds to such exquisiteness.

With a crisp texture on the outside and chewy centre, the sweet succulent taste of a macaroon can only be compared to that of a childhood memory, that blissful patient moment when you at last lick the remains of the cake mixture of the wooden spoon.

With a greeted bonjour and the interior exact to what you expect in Paris, Choquette is an authentic French experience which has indeed brought more oh la la to our own background.
